CALL FOR PAPER ::: Special Issue "Validation Cases for CFD Codes and Models"

The special issue, entitled "Validation Cases for CFD Codes and Models", is devoted to publish benchmarking cases along with their experimental database, in order to provide the CFD community with a robust source for validating new codes and models.

This special issue will be published in a unique style. Papers should describe the experimental procedure in details, with a special emphasis on the boundary conditions and measurement domains. The authors should also submit sufficient raw data that can be easily used by the CFD community for code validation purposes. The raw data will be available through the journal's website, with a direct link from the article page.

Unlike other accepted articles in CFD Letters, papers published in the special issue are not required to have detailed and conclusive discussion of the results.

Results obtained using laser diagnostic techniques viz. PIV, PDA, LDA are specifically encouraged to be submitted to this special issue.

All papers and results will be submitted to an accelerated peer-review process in order to ensure the quality of the papers and results.

The general guidelines of writing an article of this special issue are:

  • The manuscript length should not exceed 5 A4 pages, formatted according to journal template
  • The manuscript should clearly, but briefly, explain the experimental setup and measurement technique(s).
  • The results should be presented in both graphical form (in the manuscript text) and in raw data (in CSV/Excel format)
  • The manuscript must include an estimation of the error for each measurement technique. The experimental uncertainty must be evidently explored and discussed.
  • A discussion section of the results is preferred, however, is not mandatory.
