Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Concrete is one of the most commonly used structural materials. Since it has been used in construction industry, it powers the constructional evolution. As so far there is no substitute for concrete to take place at least in the near future, concrete will remain important to sustain our growth and maintain the quality of life for humanity.

Concrete Research Letters (CRL) publishes as rapidly as possible manuscripts of high quality which addresses eminent topics related to concrete performance, production, durability, sustainability and applications. Being an international, peer-reviewed, online and open access journal, CRL presents a world-wide forum for the dissemination of knowledge among engineers, scientists and mathematicians working in the field of concrete.

The submission, review, and publication processes in CRL are comprehensively web-based in order to facilitate the major goal of rapid publication. In addition to its distinguished fast publication time (maximum 60 days of submission date) , CRL is the first short-communications publication devoted exclusively to Concrete research

Starting in June 2009, CRL will publish four issues annually, aiming for bi-monthly publication frequency in five years time.

Editorial

Opinions, notes and critical views written by eminent international figures and experts in concrete research, mainly upon invitation by the Editor-in-Chief or one of the editorial board members of the journal.

Publication Frequency

Concrete Research Letters is issued quarterly. Accepted manuscripts will be available for readers as soon as they are in their final form.

 

Open Access Policy

Concrete Research Letters provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
